Thought Bite: Calming Breath

According to the teachings of Yoga, breath and mind are intimately connected.

When one is excited, the breath becomes rapid and shallow, coming in quick gasps.

On the other hand, when one is relaxed and calm, the breaths tend to be long, slow and deep.

Knowing this can help us calm down when we are overly agitated.

If you’d like to calm down, take long, slow, deep breaths.

After a few minutes, you’ll most likely find that you feel much calmer.

It works.

Try it.
